SynopsisThis documentary tells the story of Josef ÄŒapek, who was one of the most famous Czech painters and writers of the 20th century and was happily married to his great love Jarmila ÄŒapková. But ÄŒapek was also a well-known anti-fascist and due to his conviction, he was held prisoner in several Nazi concentration camps during World War II. According to historical sources, ÄŒapek died in a camp in 1945, although some witnesses claimed to have seen him alive after the war. Jarmila traveled to Germany, but never found him. What remains is the story of a remarkable man and his love to a woman – and many unanswered questions.
