Synopsis: |
For some people, film is a big business; for others, it's a great art. And for Joschi Deininger, who works as a taxi driver for the film industry in Austria, it's a big wait!
While driving and waiting for the directors, actors and producers he takes care of daily, he has time to wonder about this glamorous, yet mysterious, world. Joschi is a film specialist, in his very
own way. Not as a critic, not as a filmmaker. But thanks to his long work experience and a sharpened gaze, he offers a very different, although quite in-depth, look at the business and art of film.
The documentary follows Joschi over a longer period, from the filming of various film productions to the premieres of some of them. Joschi thereby develops his very subjective History of the Austrian
cinema.

Synopsis: |
Guido Peters is a 15-years-old boy escaping the boredom of school when he first starts doing drugs. From now on, every moment of his life is being driven by his
addiction to heroin: illicit deals, on the run from the police, painful rehabs... and of course an everyday craving for drugs that leads him to the craziest of acts;
like the day when he jumps from an 8 meter high roof and is paralysed for the rest of his life.
This feature length drama-documentary, narrated by Guido Peters himself and brought to life by a mix of original footage and psychedelic illustration, tells the story
of a man who survives what he now calls "poison". Now 50-years-old, he feels free of addiction, at peace with himself and willing to share what he learned from his
painful experience. |
