Synopsis
Sweden. End of the 19th century. Lars Erikson and his wife have to move from the town to a cave located in a forest owned by a local baron. In order to survive their poor conditions, Lars starts poaching. The baron doesn´t like this and orders him to stop. Lars, who is not the kind of man who likes receiving orders, keeps poaching and mocks the baron. The conflict between the two men escalate until the countess, who’s inherited a fortune, invites them both to her annual hunting party.
